There are many live scores and cricket news apps for Android users in India and we have found that some are a lot better than others. There are many cheap apps available that are all just the same platform spun into different colors. They are all terribly bad and full of adverts.
We have taken some time to test the live scores apps that are available to bring you our top 3. These are all apps that have push live score notifications as well as a good news hub and in some cases exclusive video content. You will find some of the well-known names in cricket news here as big companies produce better apps, in general. We tested them for the speed of the notifications as well as the number of games covered.

The Cricbuzz app was the standout winner for us amongst all the cricket apps. It mixes excellent live scores and option with news and opinions.

Overall we were really impressed with Cricbuzz. The app is very well designed and simple to use. It has all the cricket information you could ever need and is free to download for the ad version. The ads are not intusive so we never felt the need to purcahse the Plus add on to remove them.
If you are a cricket fan then we are sure you will be happy with the Cricbuzz app. We found it to have the best and quickest live scores of the apps we tested. Add to that the excellent news and analysis and this is an all round fantastic app.
2 - ESPN Cric Info
Next in line is another big hitter in the world of cricket- ESPN Cric Info. They are probably the biggest name in cricket news in the world!
Why we like the ESPN Cric info app –
- Match centre: Follow the match with ball by ball commentary on major matches and tournaments. Live scores update ball by ball.
- Push scores: Fully customizable scores, get notifications from the matches you want. Pick the updates you need.
- News: ESPN Cric info has around 10-15 news storie per day. They cover everything from world cric. You will also find preview sof major tournaments and vast amounts of content on the IPL every year.
- Expert analysis by Tom Moody, Sanjay Manjrekar, Ajit Agarkar, Gautam Gambhir, Aakash Chopra and Deep Dasgupta.
As well as the above you can also find match stats and historic results. There are not as many as you will find on the main website but the major events are covered.
3 - Cricket Exchange
The cricket exchange app has over 10,000,000 downloads on Android and is an excellent app away from the big names.
The app also has a premium version to remove the ads. This is more needed than Cricbuzz as the ads are more in your face. This is why we rated the app in 3rd rather than further up.
